-

Meet Angel.
Angel Xing (she/her) is a pre-licensed clinician who received her Ed.M. and M.A. in Mental Health Counseling from Teachers College, Columbia University. She earned her B.A. from New York University, where she conducted research on acculturative stress, identity, and coping among Asian young adults. Angel completed her clinical internship training at Hamilton-Madison House, a community mental health center, where she provided individual and group therapy in both English and Mandarin. In her clinical work, Angel is especially attentive to the cultural and historical contexts that shape how individuals understand themselves, relate to others, and make meaning of their experiences.
Angel’s therapeutic style is curious, nonjudgmental, and creative. Grounded in an integrative orientation, Angel draws from relational, insight-oriented, process-oriented, and experiential approaches tailored to each individual’s unique needs. She incorporates embodied techniques to help clients connect with their emotional experiences in the here-and-now and views therapy as a collaborative space where clients can explore enduring patterns, challenge internalized narratives, and develop more authentic relationships with themselves and others.
Angel strives to create a transparent and supportive environment where difficult emotions and conflicts can be processed with greater openness, curiosity, and compassion. Ultimately, Angel believes that people possess an innate desire and capacity to know themselves and be known by others, and that healing and change can emerge through genuine engagement in the therapeutic relationship.
